The Tin Can Kids LLC Code of Conduct govern interactions on our website, live video calls, and social media. If you/your child participate, engage, or share with the Tin Can Kids community we require that you are:

  • Respectful

  • Kind

  • Family-friendly

  • Not using inappropriate or hateful language or images 

  • Welcoming to other ideas and viewpoints 

We reserve the right to terminate your membership if this code of conduct is not followed.

If/when you sign up to get weekly emails and schedule, we collect:

  • Your name and child’s name and age

  • Other information such as interests and preferences.


When you sign up for the Summer Toolkit, we collect: 

  • Your name and email address


When you and/or your child participates in Zoom during a Summer Friday Lunch Bunch, other participants will be able to see:

  • Audio and video of you and/or your child

  • Text from the chat interactions before and during the live session. 


If you and/or your child participated in the daily live virtual field trips, we collected: 

  • Audio and video of you and/or your child

  • Text from the chat interactions before and during the live session. 


Why We Collect Your Data

We are collecting your data for several reasons:

  • To better understand our audience.

  • To send you emails containing the information we think you will find helpful and necessary to continue participating in Tin Can Kids.

  • To contact you to fill out surveys and participate in other types of market research.

  • To share parent-friendly resources

  • To update you when new Summer Toolkit Files and Forum posts are available


Safeguarding and Securing the Data

Tin Can Kids LLC is committed to securing your data and keeping it confidential. Tin Can Kids LLC has done all in its power to prevent data theft, unauthorized access, and disclosure by implementing the latest technologies and software, which help us safeguard all the information we collect online.

For the Summer Toolkit Lunch Bunch, we do not record or post the Zoom sessions anywhere. 

We will not publicly share any posts you make to the Summer Forum or Summer Files without your permission.
